Introduction
The department of Pediatric Radiology is located at the Children's area of the Hospital Materno-infantil Vall d'Hebron and it is a division of the Unit of Diagnostic Imaging (UDI) of the Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron, associated center of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona" (UAB). We perform diagnostic imaging examinations in pediatric patients and young adults, and we do applied clinical research. We have a particular interest in teaching Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging. Beyond these activities, assessment, research and development in new technologies in Radiology is a field of interest. The department has been pionner in Spain in networking, RIS, computed radiography, PACS and teleradiology. |
